We want to keep you informed about important updates regarding access to Pornhub and other sites on the Pornhub Network in the United Kingdom. There’s been a lot of news lately about the Online Safety Act (OSA), so here’s what’s happening and how it affects you.
What’s Changed?
As of February 2, 2026, only Models and users who already have an age-verified account can continue to access Pornhub in the UK. For new Models and users, access to the site in the UK is now restricted, to comply with age verification requirement of the Online Safety Act (OSA).
Unfortunately, this means new Models based in the UK won’t be able to sign up for the Model Program at this time.
The Good News
If you’re already a verified Pornhub Model, you can keep uploading and sharing your content as usual. Your ability to connect with your fanbase and international viewers remains unchanged, and you’ll continue to earn ad revenue from video views in regions where access is still available.
Why is This Happening?
When we first heard about the OSA, we hoped it would be a step forward. But after seeing how things have played out over the past six months, we have the data proving that the opposite is happening. Instead, in our view the OSA has created new risks which are making things harder for creators like you:
- More users are turning to unregulated, unsafe sites that don’t verify uploaders or moderate content, increasing the risk of exposure to illegal or harmful material. This also includes sites filled with pirated content meaning that creators are not getting paid for the views or benefiting from their content appearing on these unauthorized sites.
- The privacy and personal data of UK users are at risk. The OSA requires users to provide personal information to prove their age before accessing adult content. Not every platform or 3rd party age verification service will handle data in the right way and hacks, fraud, and identity theft will inevitably happen. There has already been at least one breach of a verification platform that resulted in user IDs being exposed.
- Many unregulated sites with adult content are left unchecked, and search engines are constantly being filled with new, non-compliant sites, making meaningful enforcement practically impossible.
Pornstar Ivy Maddox who has a verified Model account on Pornhub recently shared her concerns with the Daily Star, “Pornhub has so many measures to keep contributors safe. If consumers can’t access safe sites, they will go elsewhere... where, best case scenario, Models' content has been leaked, and they don’t make any money from it. Or worst-case scenario, the person in the video is not aware that they are online and did not consent to be filmed at all."
What Can You Do?
Keep making and uploading your content! Your videos will still be available to age-verified viewers within the UK as well as global viewers in regions where the site is not blocked. You’ll continue to earn from all global views. You can also upload (and recycle) SFW content which will be more prominently displayed when users visit Pornhub within the UK. The screenshot below shows how the site appears to those in the UK who do not have an account.

If you’re a verified Model in the UK, you can still access your account:
- Go to the homepage
- Confirm your age
- Click the orange “Log In” button at the top right
- A pop-up window will appear for you to enter your details

- Share information that we believe provides more effective solutions, such as making every phone and tablet kid-safe by defaulting to minor-safe settings which cannot be easily bypassed. We’ll keep pushing for them.
- Provide resources to Models looking for tips on monetizing content in regions that aren’t blocked.
