How to Prepare For the 8th Annual Pornhub Awards
To be eligible for a nomination, Models must either be actively uploading content to their Pornhub account or must be active performers in the adult industry and getting tagged in videos uploaded by content partners (channels). The window to upload content and be considered for the 8th Annual Pornhub Awards closes soon on December 31. If you haven’t uploaded yet, now is the time to act and maximize your chances of being nominated.
Follow these steps to prepare:
1. Upload Content and Use Effective Metadata:
If you’re aiming to be nominated in a specific category, tailor your content to match it. For example, to be considered for “Favorite Squirter,” make sure to upload squirting content and include relevant keywords in your titles, tags, and categories. This helps your content stand out in our data.
2. Provide Safe-for-Work (SFW) Images:
Our team creates custom marketing assets for all nominees using images from your Pornhub profile, photo albums or social media. Ensure your profiles include high-quality, SFW images for marketing purposes, and your social accounts are linked to your Model profile.
Note: The social media assets for each year’s awards are designed with the annual theme. These unique designs are sent directly to nominees by email, so you’ll always have branded, eye-catching assets to promote your nomination. See examples from the 5th, 6th, and 7th Annual Pornhub Awards below.
How Do We Determine Nominations and Winners?
To be eligible for nominations, Models must actively upload content to Pornhub or be tagged in videos uploaded during the 2025 calendar year.
With a couple of months left of the year, now is the time to upload and use effective metadata to increase your chances of being nominated!
There are 2 categories:
- Data driven awards: The nominees are determined by an analysis of video performance, including searches, views, and other user engagement metrics within the last year. Data will determine the nominees and the winners too.
- Categories typically include “Top” in the title, such as: Top Anal Performer, Top MILF Performer, Top Blowjob Performer, etc.
- Fan voting awards: These nominees are also determined by data using the same analysis as referenced above. The winners, however, are selected by fans casting daily votes on the Awards site.
- These categories typically include “Favorite” in the title, such as: Favorite Couple, Favorite Squirter, Favorite Newcomers, etc.
Unlike other industry awards, the nominations for the Pornhub Awards are entirely data-driven. This means Models cannot request to be nominated or have fans request on their behalf.
What Are the Nomination Categories?
Each year, the Pornhub Awards features unconventional categories, divided between data-driven and fan-voted awards. In addition to recognizing outstanding creators, we recognize content partners (production companies) with active channels on Pornhub for their contributions to the platform as well.
We occasionally add new categories in response to emerging trends and shifts in popularity. Similarly, categories with insufficient nominees may be removed to make room for new additions. Our awards remain agile and responsive to the year's trends.
How We Analyze the Data
Nominees are selected based on engagement metrics—such as views, searches, likes, favorites, and other user interactions—collected exclusively from the 2025 calendar year. Only this year’s performance metrics are considered; in other words, data from previous years is not included.
To ensure accuracy, our team carefully reviews all data and validates each nomination. For example, if a creator uses the tag “blowjob” our team manually verifies who is doing the act in the clip to ensure credit goes to the right performer.
We also reserve three special categories for Models who joined and uploaded content to Pornhub for the first time in 2025:
- Most Popular Female Newcomer
- Most Popular Male Newcomer
- Favorite Newcomer
Even if these Models have years of experience in the adult industry, they are considered "new” if they upload their first video within the relevant year.
