Coronavirus Update – April 2

In this third installment of Coronavirus updates, we will take a look at how Pornhub’s traffic levels have changed since our last March 25th update. We also have updates on traffic by demographic and daily Coronavirus related searches.

Pornhub’s statisticians also released data showing Increased Video Uploads From Verified Models.

New Video Uploads from Verified Models

The Covid-19 Pandemic has already affected billions of people worldwide. It’s not just affecting those who are at risk of contracting the illness, but many of us are doing our part to help flatten the curve by staying at home and social distancing.

Over 150,000 verified models upload their own videos to Pornhub so they can get paid whenever they’re viewed. More time at home means more time to make homemade porn, so during the past weeks there has been a surge in new video uploads from verified models.

Compared to an average period before the pandemic, daily uploads from models have now increased by more than 30%.

Coronavirus Update – March 25th

In our previous Coronavirus Insights, Pornhub’s statisticians took a detailed look at how worldwide traffic to Pornhub had changed as people were forced to self-isolate and work from home. Not only had visits to Pornhub increased, but we also found that people were choosing to visit the site at different times of the day.

In this post, our statisticians have provided updated stats with several additional days worth of data. We also take a closer look at visitor demographics to see how traffic has changed for men, women and within various age groups.

Coronavirus Insights

Visiting Pornhub is a daily routine for more than 120 million people, but as offices close, and whole communities go into lock-down in the wake of a global health crisis, our daily routines are being disrupted worldwide.

More people are self-isolating, working from home, and stocking up on household essentials, so Forbes asked our statisticians to take a look at how that has impacted Pornhub’s traffic and searches during these anxious few weeks of #socialdistancing.

2020 Super Bowl 54

Super Bowl 54 took place on Sunday February 2nd, with the Kansas City Chiefs playing the San Francisco 49ers. In the end, Kansas defeated the 49ers 31 to 20, making it their first Super Bowl win in 50 years. Super Bowl Insights have been a tradition at Pornhub since 2014, so we once again checked in to see how 2020 stacked up compared to previous years.

2020 College Football Championship

The 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship took place on January 13, 2020 and saw Louisiana’s LSU Tigers beat South Carolina’s Clemson Tigers 42 to 25.

The game began at 8pm Eastern Time, at which point Pornhub’s traffic from Louisiana was down -19% below average, while South Carolina’s was down by -13%.

South Carolina’s traffic slowly recovered during the game, reaching average levels by 11pm. Louisiana state traffic remained far below average, with the biggest drop being by -22% as the game was ending.

Satisfied with their team’s win, Louisiana’s traffic quickly returned to normal, but in the losing state of South Carolina, Pornhub’s traffic surged as high as +22% above average after the game ended.
